This is the whole point of magic; creating an illusion, but this description is usually reserved for platform or stage magic; large effects using large props. Sawing someone in half or making them disappear are illusions. This is not my field as I prefer the more intimate close up work. Some Magic is dangerous! Our tricks are supposed to be dramatic - startling - impressive, but if your trick is in any way dangerous, don't involve a member of the audience!
